Good grief where does the time go!? For the last several weeks, we've been pretty dang busy getting the house pulled together and "show ready." This required slogging through a list of 20 or so tasks which aren't necessarily easy to do with a toddler running around. :P I felt that a lot of "base" organizational tasks had to be knocked out of the way so that items could be put away at a moment's notice. That means closets were cleaned out and made pretty; many kitchen drawers and cabinets were pared down, packed up and reorganized; the filing, OH THE FILING, was finally completed (only on the to-do list for the last THREE YEARS); and we did a lot of other miscellaneous decluttering and packing. A lot of this was accomplished during Caiden's nap times which meant time for blogging was pushed further down the list. But the end result is that we have officially LISTED THE HOUSE! I am not terribly confident we're gonna get much traffic for another several weeks - especially based on our experience with the rental market last year. (BTW, we're not trying to rent this year, only sell.) We've been live for a week and half now, and sadly there has been zero interest thus far. It makes it hard to stay motivated to keep the house picked up, but hopefully we'll get some bites in the next couple of months. If you'd like to see the listing, you can check it out here on
Redfin. Please tell everyone you know here in the Seattle area or anyone you know who is moving to the Seattle area. Every little bit of promotion helps!!
Our plan is that if we
do sell this spring or summer, we're still gonna stay in WA for a little while. We don't want to try and orchestrate a major move while I'm pregnant or with a newborn. Plus I really like my OB and hospital. So in the short term, we'd plan to rent something here and shoot for a move in spring of 2011. Keep those fingers crossed!!
And to thank you in advance for your efforts, hopes and prayers, I'll leave you with some funny photos of Caiden. :)

I hate filing! I don't know why I feel that way because it's not hard and when I am finished, I love the accomplishment. I can honestly see why it's been on your list for awhile. Ok - 3 years might be a bit extreme, but I really do understand!
