16/17 Weeks

According to my original due date, I'd be 16 weeks now. But my "revised" due date (based on a recent ultrasound) has me at 17 weeks as of yesterday. I've had a few people asking for pictures, so here ya go! :) I know this is kind of a random place to start with the photos, but hey, you gotta start somewhere right?

My belly definitely "popped" a lot sooner with this baby than it did with Caiden. Last time by this point, I was just barely able to keep concealing the pregnancy. But this time around, it was really obvious even by 11 weeks!

So far everything is looking really good with the baby. I've had a couple of ultrasounds now and most of my blood work has been done and everything is pointing to a happy healthy baby! I think I have even started to feel a little bit of movement here and there. They say that you can generally feel the second baby move earlier than your first since you know what it feels like.

I am pretty much completely out of the woods of morning sickness - hallelujah!!! Altho, if I don't get enough rest, I wind up feeling pretty crummy most of the next day. I broke down and bought some more maternity clothes - the top shown in the photos is one of the new shirts I got. I am really sick of my maternity wardrobe already, so hopefully these new purchases will add a little flavor. Lucky for me I hit a good sale at Kohl's combined with a 30% off coupon. Woo!

The biggest news to share is that we've decided to wait and be surprised about the sex of the baby! I'm sure this will be tough for the organizational/planner in me, but it is one of the last few great surprises you can get in life. If Summer and Reid can do it, so can we! :D The hard part will be coming up with two sets of names - one for a boy and one for a girl. We had an easy time with girl names last time, but it was hard picking a boy name, so here's to hoping we can find one we both like! Any suggestions for an "in-utero" name?

I'll be posting some photo updates again in a couple weeks. Stay tuned! :)

I was just thinking today how I wanted to see a belly picture from you! I am so glad you posted this! I love your top. I found that Kohl's often had good sales on maternity stuff and I got a majority of my tops there.

You're looking good Lisa. Just call the baby Due (pronounced Due A as in the pizza place in Chicago, Uno's Due's).
