It's a cool thing having a little family of your own. One thing I like best is the creation of traditions and/or bringing forth traditions from our childhoods. Caiden and I started one this week - dyeing Easter eggs. He was too young to appreciate it last year, but I think this year was the perfect time to start. Once I had the dyes and eggs ready, I told him we had a special craft to do that we get to do just once a year. He was excited to participate and to see what we were doing!
I showed him all the colors in the cups and let him decide which egg to put in what cup.

Then we would check on the eggs to see how they were doing.

He helped me dye a couple eggs with multiple colors, and he did a good job putting stickers on some of the eggs.

We also used a wax crayon on a couple eggs to make neat designs. Caiden did the squiggly one all on his own.

It was a really fun activity for us. I kinda wished I made more eggs because the time went by so fast! That's ok, now I'll know for next year. :) The next fun thing will be hiding them around the house for him to find on Easter!
