Birthday Sundae on Saturday

Even though Caiden was to be an Easter baby this year and we were going to have a nice dinner at home, we thought it would still be fun to celebrate his birthday at Red Robin as they make a huge birthday ruckus. So we went the night before, and they did not disappoint! Caiden totally associates the place as the source of balloons and noodles. He recognizes it as soon as we pull into the parking lot and starts asking for both those things!

Of course he chowed down on his noodles (mac & cheese) for dinner while we enjoyed some burgers and fries. We told the server in advance that it was his birthday, and she did a great job rounding up the staff to sing a rousing rendition of the birthday song for our little guy. Caiden was entranced by the singing and clapping, and then he noticed the sundae! This was his very first sundae, and boy did he waste no time in digging in!! It was fun to watch him enjoy his special treat. Since we don't indulge him in very much sugar (if any), I think the occasion was made all the more special. :) Here are some photos from our evening out.

This is what happens when you say "Smile Caiden!"
Guess who he gets it from? ;)
Birthday Song!
Lots of balloons!!
Om nom nom!!!
Last bite, then all done!
