Snowflake Lane

Downtown Bellevue does this really neat holiday celebration every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is called Snowflake Lane and the show goes on every night at 7pm. I really wanted to make sure Caiden got to see it this year. We stumbled on it by accident last year (being in the right place at the right time), and I was totally enthralled!

Since Caiden had a good long nap this afternoon, I knew it would be a good night to take him out to see it. Plus, being a Monday night the crowds wouldn't be quite so crazy. We had a quick dinner at Red Robin, and then we headed out to grab a spot to watch the entertainment! Just like last year, I was so excited seeing the performance! Watching the percussionists come out and take their positions up on the platforms along with the guys on stilts dressed up like toy soldiers and seeing the "snow" come down just makes for such a magical experience. Christmas music is played over the speaker system and the drummers all dance and play along. I got some video footage of Caiden taking in the whole spectacle and clapping along. I think he got a kick out of it, but wasn't entirely certain what to make of it.

I had to resist not watching the videos. I still haven't seen snowflake lane, really wanted to this year, but didn't make it. So I'm settling for your snapshots and won't let myself watch the show. :) Looks like you guys had a good time!
