Imagination in Action

I often wonder what is going through Caiden's mind when I see him playing with toys (or more often, things that are not really toys, but have captured his interest). I am fascinated with watching him maneuver things around and often wish I knew what it meant to him.

Well, Caiden likes to help Mom and Dad feed the cats. He knows the routine pretty well. Get the plates, get the cat food, open the packet and put the food on the plates and then set the plates down for the cats. Knowing this, I immediately recognized what he was doing when I observed him in some pretend play! It blew my mind seeing him in action and understanding what he was trying to do - finally I had a glimpse into his imagination in action! My favorite part was watching him "put the food on the plate."
