Initially, Caiden wasn't terribly excited to get dressed up, but I managed to coax him into it. His first outing in costume was to B's office party on Friday afternoon. He had fun running around the office and could not wait to get his hands on the festive cupcakes! Ezra behaved himself very well and was one of the office darlings. We got some great family photos taken there, and I will post those once we get our digital copies.
Somehow, we got super lucky with Halloween day weather here in WA! Normally it is cold and wet, but Sunday was mostly sunny, dry and had comfortable temps. Woo hoo!! After Caiden's and Ezra's naps, we got the boys dressed and ready to hit the neighborhood. Caiden decided to get into character before we left and spent a few minutes consulting his pirate manual.
Hello...getting into character here!
Now...what's that phrase again?
This was the first year for Caiden going door to door trick or treating. We coached him on how to say trick or treat, and he was very polite by thanking and your welcoming each person who gave him treats. :) We walked the entire neighborhood and his bucket was filled up in no time! He snacked on a couple of treats while we were out, but once we got home we told him it was time to put the candy away. Boy, he was not happy about that idea! But he'll get to enjoy more of his candy over the next several days, and we'll try and avoid a totally sugar blitzed two year old. :)
I really enjoyed taking him out trick or treating this year! This was the first year where he was old enough to really have fun with it. It won't be long before we'll be chasing after him as he races from door to door to fill his "pump-kih-min" basket! Check out the rest of the photos here.

Caiden is such a cutie in his costume! I love it! Ezra is adorable too!
I was going to ask you the name for that pirate book, but you put it in a picture - thanks! :-)
I am glad you had a fun Halloween!
