G-Ma & G-Dad Duchek Visit (part 4)

Our last day together was a long overdue trip out to Mt. St. Helens (yep - that's the volcano that blew its top back in 1980). It took about 2.5 hours to get down there, and we lucked out with the beautiful weather that day! The views were absolutely stunning. It was so weird seeing the surrounding areas still trying to recover from the destruction. We spent a good amount of time a the visitor center which was super close to the mountain (or what's left of it anyway!).

I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.

Notice anything missing?

Rusti and Larry departed WA early the next morning. I always hate saying goodbye, and seeing them off Wednesday night left me sad and teary. We all really enjoyed having them come out and visit us. We shared lots of laughs and took plenty of photos, but their time here just went by far too quickly. Hopefully we'll be back in IL soon and seeing each other much more often!
