36 Weeks

How is it time seems to be speeding up all of the sudden?! I can't believe I'm down to only 4 weeks left already. When I went in for my regular 34 week OB appointment, I was a little startled to hear the first words out of her mouth being "WOW - that's a big baby!" *Sigh* I guess we just breed big babies. :P According to the ultrasound, Baby is estimated to weigh a little over 6lbs already. That puts me squarely on track to deliver another 9 pounder. Apparently Baby is also face up right now and the abdomen is measuring as the largest part of the body. These things are stacking up in opposition to me being a good VBAC candidate which is sort of a bummer. I still don't mind having a 2nd C-Section, but I don't want them to try and schedule it at 38 or 39 weeks. It'll be interesting to see what the doc has to say at my 36 week appointment this week.

Baby is still pretty active, but I can tell things are getting tighter in there. The movements seem to be a little bit gentler which is a nice change. But my back definitely gets real tired real easily, and I have a hard time doing too much without getting just plain tired. Trying to get the house packed up has certainly been a challenge (Yes, we're moving in a week. Not far - just down the street. More on that in a later update.), along with trying to stay a little bit more active.

I've been reading Caiden a book about becoming a big brother, and I think he has really enjoyed that. He might be starting to understand what the new baby is going to mean to him, and that is exciting to see!
