SIX MORE WEEKS!!! I can hardly believe it. This baby is gonna be here before we know it! So far everything is looking great. I had another ultrasound on Friday (which was exactly my 34 week mark), and Baby is measuring perfectly, if even a little big. The photos weren't quite as good as Baby wasn't exactly in the mood to pose, but we did get a few more to share. (That's the placenta the baby is nestled up against.)
The weather here got crazy hot this week which I was just dreading. It really isn't fun being this far along and sitting in a house that is 85 degrees. The nice thing is that we have portable a/c units for both bedrooms now, so at least I could escape (and sleep in comfortable temps) if it got too unbearable. Fortunately temps are back to normal, so the house isn't such an oven anymore.
Today my friend Lisa treated me to a lovely mini-baby shower high tea at Taste the Moment in Redmond. I had some delicious jasmine black tea and we enjoyed a variety of treats. She also gave me a few gifts for Baby - wrist rattles, stackable cups, a teething ring and dangle toys for the car seat. So fun to start getting these little reminders that we're going to have a newborn around soon! We had such a pleasant afternoon leisurely catching up. :)
Apparently Baby is in head down position now, so that's some good news! It might explain some of the movement I've been feeling too. Some nights I feel like a human punching bag! The other night was so distracting that I had to get out of bed and bounce and sway to try and get Baby to settle down. I hope this isn't a portent of future behavior! And recently I've been having a really hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. I go to bed tired, but after 5 or 10 minutes my eyes pop open, and it takes me 1-2 hours to finally drift off. It is especially frustrating when I know I have a full day with Caiden coming up. I've started napping when he does when I have nights like that.
And the heartburn, oh is the heartburn returning with a vengeance. Must have another hairy baby in there. :P I think the end of this pregnancy has been a little more difficult than with Caiden. I feel like I get uncomfortable really easily and that my body just seems to be having a little bit harder of a time. So in some ways I feel like I've got just a short time to go, but there are also times where these last few weeks seem like a long way away.
If you haven't done so already, don't forget to enter your picks for the baby pool! It won't be too much longer before I close it to new entries!

You seriously sound like how I was feeling at the end with Eddie! I too, remember thinking that it's not much longer, but at the same time thinking - how can I put up with this for that long!!!
I still think your baby looks like a boy from those ultrasound pictures :-)
I am sorry to hear about the heartburn. Has that Zantax helped at all?
