Yikes - I've been remiss in my weekly updates. Mostly because the weekend before last was pretty uneventful. I spent much of the weekend couch surfing while trying to kick the cold I picked up (first one in 2 years!!!). The one highlight of that weekend was Brian and I finally up and joined Massage Envy. Mmmm...massages. :) When you come out and visit, we can go and get pampered on the cheap!
This past weekend was far better and much more fun! On Friday Nik, Kristi, Rob and Dave came over. We had a Buffy/Angel marathon, BBQ and some intense Wii playing! Nik and Kristi wound up crashing at our place while Rob and I stayed up until the wee hours chattin' about this, that and the other. It was a long overdue talk!
On Saturday, Kristi and I made a very last minute decision to go and see Rent. I have never seen the performance before and was really excited to go see it! While I really enjoyed the music and the set, unfortunately the performances were a little weak and it was really difficult to understand a lot of the words the actors were singing. Not sure if it was the sound system, acoustics, or what. I went home later and read up about it on Wikipedia.
I also did a little bit of shopping over the weekend. I have been envying Brian's kilt for several months and finally decided to get my own. Whaddya think?

And since this is so late, you get the bonus midweek random update!

Monday night I found this CUTE pair of shoes that I just couldn't resist. They will go perfectly with my little black/white polka dotted wrap dress I wore from on Rob's bday. Here's a pic of the shoes:

I had to part with my passport in mid-April to get it renewed. I decided best to do it sooner than later (expires in July) so I sent away for the new one. I fully expected it to take at least 10 weeks before I got it back which meant the end of June. You can only imagine my shock when I got it back in the mail yesterday!! I almost fell over at the mailbox!! I have the new fancy version which includes a lovely little government chip (tracking device) that apparently "speeds up" processing time at airports/border crossings. Harumph. We'll see about that.
I think that is about it. I know this was longer than normal, but I had lots to catch you up on!!!
